When it was announced that Green Day front-man Billie Joe Armstrong was headed to rehab following his rant at the iHeartRadio Music Festival, many people were cynical.  Some viewed the whole move as a stunt.  But, Warner Brothers Chairman Rob Cavallo, the producer of Green Day's Dookie and American Idiot albums, says Billie Joe's situation is serious:

"His rehab is no joke.  He's under medical supervision for a while to get him clean...I don't know if we'll see him before or after Christmas. It's basically undetermined when he'll be back."

Green Day cancelled several promotional appearances revolving around the release of their ¡Uno! album in September.  They also were forced to back out of the Voodoo Festival in New Orleans.  The band is scheduled to start a tour in late November which will end at the same venue as Billie's Joe's infamous meltdown, Las Vegas's MGM Garden Arena.  But, it appears the tour is in doubt.
